Everything we create is made to order using butter, free range eggs, Belgian Chocolate, Madagascan Vanilla and the finest ingredients we can lay our hands on. Our exquisite cake flavours are all carefully designed, tried-and-tested recipes but we're always happy to tailor flavours to suit your personal favourites and can also develop bespoke flavours if you’re looking for something a little different!

If you’ve already joined us on Instagram or have had a chance to look through our Portfolio, you’ll know that my design ethos is grounded in simplicity. Soft minimalism combined with delicate, fine art details including breathtakingly beautiful handmade sugar florals, wonderful colour tones, clean lines, hand-painted calligraphy and texture, all working together in perfect balance and harmony.

Each and every custom design is unique, a piece of edible art reflecting your personality and wedding styling. My aim is to help you realise the design potential in your cake, pushing the boundaries of what you thought a wedding cake could and should be, in order to create something truly special. This collaborative approach to cake design means that clients trust us implicitly to guide them through the entire process.

In order to maintain such high standards, we commit to just one wedding per week. Rachael & James had an incredibly beautiful Summer wedding at Dorfold Hall, Cheshire in 2019. They got in touch after seeing our designs on Instagram and knew they would tie in perfectly with the look of their wedding.

During their Design Consultation and Cake Tasting, we clicked immediately and chatted non-stop about their exciting plans, which suppliers they had already chosen and why they fell in love with Dorfold Hall.

After tasting eight delicious cake flavours, they opted for two tiers of our Spiced Carrot Cake with Salted Caramel Buttercream, one tier of our zesty Luscious Lemon Cake sandwiched with Lemon Curd Buttercream and a base tier of our classic Victoria Sponge Cake. They loved the previous aged stone textures we’d created on clients cakes as well as the clean lines and sharp edges, but as James’ favourite number was 7, we created a custom Heptagonal shaped tier instead of the more popular Hexagonal shape. Absolutely everything we create is custom so I was excited to find a way of a way of incorporating the number seven into their design.

We liaised with the team at Joseph Massie Flowers in Liverpool to discuss what flowers and foliage they would be incorporating into their floral designs. As Rachael and James wanted that extra wow factor on their cake and had been amazed at the incredible realism of our sugar flowers, we created a selection of stunning Peonies, Roses, Astrantia, Veronica and Eucalyptus, all handmade from sugar, to match the beautiful fresh arrangements. As we wanted quite a modern but elegant feel to the cake, the sugar flowers were designed to be one single, oversized trailing asymmetric arrangement. The slightly wild abundant feel of the floral arrangement contrasted perfectly with the tall tiers with their textured stone effect complete with antique gilding. To finish their display, we chose to use a stunning marble cake stand with a gold base, all captured here perfectly by Let Love Flourish Photographers.

Where to start

Don’t delay getting in touch, we limit the number of couples we work with each year so our diary does get booked up in advance. As soon as you’ve found your venue and secured your date, fill in the Consultation Form here on the website and tell us about your wedding. Rachel will then be in touch to confirm availability, provide you with some information and discuss arranging a Design Consultation along with one of our beautiful Tasting Boxes.

Following your consultation, you’ll receive a set of fully tailored quotes and design proposal based upon everything discussed, you can then go ahead and secure your wedding date with a 30% booking fee.

Unfortunately, we don't accept orders for weddings that are taking place inbetween Christmas and New Year.

  • Victoria Sponge Cake with Raspberry Jam and Vanilla Buttercream - a light and fluffy sponge sandwiched with creamy Madagascan Vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam

  • Chocolate Truffle Cake with Chocolate Ganache Buttercream - for chocolate lovers our signature chocolate cake is rich and dense, much like a chocolate brownie!

  • Luscious Lemon Cake with Lemon Syrup and Lemon Curd Buttercream - so light and zingy this lemon cake is heavenly and super refreshing on the palette

  • Chocolate Guinness Cake with White Chocolate Ganache Buttercream - a delicious chocolate cake, a subtle hint of Guinness and velvety white chocolate ganache

  • Butterscotch Cake with Caramel Sauce Buttercream - for those with a sweet tooth this is a firm favourite, quite rich and dense but so moreish!

  • Spiced Carrot Cake with Salted Caramel Buttercream - our carrot cake is such a crowd pleaser, so light and moist teamed with delicious salted caramel. 

  • Sticky Toffee Cake with Caramelised White Chocolate Buttercream - delicious and rich, if you're a fan of the dessert you'll love this!

  • Cherry & Almond Cake with Kirsch sandwiched with Almond Buttercream - like a deliciously moist Bakewell Tart, in cake form!

 

For those couples who want to go that extra mile with their wedding cake flavours, we also offer Recipe Development where we can create a bespoke flavour for your wedding day based upon specific flavour profiles that are personal and special to you, please just ask Rachel about this if it’s something you’re keen to explore.

We can offer gluten, dairy and nut free cake flavours however please note that for people with serious allergies, we do use nuts, dairy and gluten in our kitchen so all products may contain traces of these.

When it comes to portions, there’s no right or wrong way of deciding how many you’re going to provide. Rachel will discuss this during your design consultation and can offer advise on the best options for you.

 

on the day

Your custom-designed wedding cake will be safely packaged, delivered and set up at your venue on the wedding day by us. Rachel will liaise with your venue as well as any other suppliers such as your florist, stylist and wedding planner to ensure that all of the details are taken care of and everything runs smoothly.

We’ve accumulated a beautiful selection of contemporary, elegant wedding cake stands in different shapes, sizes, and colours to perfectly present and compliment your wedding cake. These are available to hire and Rachel is happy to advise you on the most suitable style for your cake to ensure we really do it justice in the venue!


After looking through Rachel’s website and Instagram I knew her clean lines, unique designs, and attention to detail were exactly what we wanted for our wedding cake. Rachel took us through the flavours and design process and helped to guide us towards knowing what we actually wanted, as to be honest we were clueless, and we were so thankful!

The cake was outstanding, the attention to detail on Rachel’s sugar work is breath-taking and the number of guests who could not believe her flowers were made from sugar was innumerable! We didn’t want the traditional white cake and Rachel took the time to hand paint and match the colour of the cake to our colours, she also got in touch with our florist to coordinate the floral details with the bouquets and buttonholes.
Rachel took all the stress out of everything, something that is much desired when you are getting married, and we couldn’t have dreamed for such a fantastic service from her.

Not only was the cake stunning, but we must mention mention the fantastic flavours that we had. Our cake was three different flavours - Luscious Lemon Cake with Lemon Curd Buttercream, Cherry & Almond Cake sandwiched with Almond Buttercream & Cherry Jam, and Butterscotch Cake with Caramel Buttercream.
These flavours were remarkable and the guests could not get enough of them! Thank you for all of your incredible work for making our perfect and delicious wedding cake!
